About the role

We are seeking a motivated Human Resources Specialist to support end‑to‑end HR operations within a university environment. The role combines recruitment, employee support, and HR administration while adhering to university policies and applicable laws.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department heads to identify current and future hiring needs.
  • Analyse workforce data, business forecasts, and turnover trends to anticipate recruitment demand.
  • Develop concise job analyses and descriptions reflecting duties and qualifications.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle: post openings, source candidates, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and facilitate hiring.
  • Coordinate new‑hire orientation, onboarding paperwork, and introduction to university culture.
  • Conduct exit interviews and compile feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Handle employee concerns, grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions in line with policies and legal requirements.
  • Prepare HR reports on turnover, retention, and recruitment as requested.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of HR experience, preferably in a university or large organization.
  • Fluent English; German language skills are an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong problem‑solving, interpersonal, and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
