Infrastructure Director - Real Estate Development

About the role

Majid Al Futtaim is looking for an Infrastructure Director for its MAF Properties Communities Development Egypt business. The Director leads the end-to-end infrastructure development lifecycle, from planning and design through approvals, utility coordination, consultant procurement, tendering and construction oversight, working with development teams, authorities, utility providers and project delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the overall infrastructure program in line with project milestones.
• Lead infrastructure design from concept through detailed design and tender documentation.
• Prepare consultant briefs and manage technical consultants supporting development planning.
• Coordinate infrastructure design with project delivery and construction teams.
• Drive authority approvals for roads, structures and wet and dry utility networks.
• Oversee infrastructure budgeting, cost planning and financial performance.
• Support contract negotiations and the execution of key service agreements.
• Lead and manage project management teams to deliver projects on time, within budget and to approved quality standards.

Required profile

• 10+ years of infrastructure design and project delivery experience, with mandatory Egypt market exposure and a track record on large-scale developments.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; postgraduate qualifications and professional engineering or project management certifications preferred.
• Strong background in roads, bridges, structures and wet and dry utility infrastructure, including reviewing consultant designs.
• Skilled in infrastructure planning, budgeting, cost control, tender evaluation, contract management and financial reporting.
• Able to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage consultants and work with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera or Microsoft Project.
• Value engineering and design optimization.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, reporting and organizational skills.
