Sites Team Leader

About the role

The Sites Team Leader manages and supervises all construction activities during the execution phase, ensuring compliance with contract documents, design intent, project specifications, quality standards, schedule, safety requirements and budget. The role coordinates closely with consultants and contractors and reports to the EEP Regional Head of Projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all construction activities on site and monitor works against approved drawings and specifications
• Coordinate architectural activities with structural, MEP and specialist contractors, and review mock-ups and sample installations
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, approved shop drawings and material submittals, and maintain design intent
• Monitor architectural finishes and workmanship, identify defects and ensure corrective actions are taken
• Participate in snagging and de-snagging, and verify completion of punch list items
• Review RFIs affecting architectural works, coordinate design clarifications, and support project planning
• Identify potential delays, recommend recovery plans, and coordinate construction sequencing
• Assist in evaluating variation orders, reviewing payment applications, supporting claims evaluation and assisting with handover

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in site management and design, including at least 5 years in a site management or construction management role
• Proven experience as a construction project manager, with hospital and/or school projects from construction through handover
• Experience in hospitality is a must; team player with leadership abilities
• Excellent command of English and Arabic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organisational and time-management skills

Required skills

• Good knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD and Primavera
• PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
