Joinery Estimator

About the role

DuPod is seeking a Joinery Estimator to support its modular construction projects. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, material take‑offs and commercial proposals for joinery and fit‑out works such as kitchens, wardrobes, cabinets, vanity units, wooden doors and custom furniture.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQs and project documents related to joinery and fit‑out works.
• Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs and cost estimates for kitchens, wardrobes, cabinets, vanity units, wooden doors, wall cladding and custom‑made furniture.
• Analyze material, labour, machinery and subcontractor costs and compile BOQs, material breakdowns and pricing sheets.
• Coordinate with design, production, procurement and operations teams to ensure accurate estimation and execution planning.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Meet tender deadlines while adhering to company standards.
• Identify value‑engineering opportunities and cost‑optimization solutions.
• Maintain updated records of material pricing, supplier databases and estimation templates.
• Support project handover after award and assist in clarification meetings and technical discussions.
• Prepare estimation reports and commercial summaries for management review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in joinery or fit‑out estimation.
• Strong knowledge of joinery materials, hardware and manufacturing processes.
• Mandatory experience estimating cabinetry, kitchens, wardrobes and custom furniture.
