Kong Engineer (API Gateway)

About the role

We are seeking a Kong Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in Kong Gateway to design, implement and manage API gateway solutions, supporting the full API lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage APIs using Kong Gateway.
• Configure routing, security, rate limiting and traffic management.
• Integrate APIs with microservices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor API performance and troubleshoot issues.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in API management.
• Proven experience with Kong Gateway.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of API security mechanisms such as OAuth2 and JWT.
