Logistics Coordinator – Domestic Road Transportation

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator ensures efficient planning, coordination, and execution of domestic road transportation activities, supporting the end‑to‑end supply chain from order processing to final delivery. The role focuses on cost optimisation, on‑time performance, risk mitigation and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor all domestic road shipments to guarantee timely, cost‑effective delivery.
• Issue trucking requests to approved transport suppliers and arrange loading/unloading schedules with customers, providers and drivers.
• Support both freight‑out and freight‑in operations as required.
• Communicate shipment status proactively and resolve transportation issues or delays.
• Act as primary contact between suppliers, drivers, customers and internal teams.
• Review and verify supplier invoices, prepare cost breakdowns and support cost‑control initiatives.
• Develop and monitor transport‑supplier performance regarding service quality, cost and reliability.
• Update freight status, performance and cost reports for management review.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects to reduce costs and prevent delays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in transportation coordination, logistics operations or supply‑chain roles, preferably in a fast‑paced industrial or FMCG environment.
• Strong knowledge of domestic road transportation processes, order‑to‑delivery flows and freight‑in/freight‑out operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Advanced Excel skills.
