About the role
The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing all export and import shipment processes, ensuring that contracts, invoices, and payments are managed efficiently to meet departmental objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Audit shipping and packing lists for over‑dimension and heavy packages, securing necessary road, bridge, and traffic permits.
- Coordinate cargo insurance with the corporate Insurance Department.
- Supervise loading of cargo onto chartered vessels, ensuring safety and security.
- Prepare and follow up on all export and re‑import documentation, including commercial invoices, export requisition letters, and customs clearance forms.
- Manage the issuance of certificates of origin and liaise with chambers of commerce and foreign affairs ministries.
- Maintain daily logs of re‑export operations and collaborate with Accounting and Treasury for payment releases.
- Review invoices for contract compliance and obtain approvals from senior logistics leadership.
- Handle advance payments for trucking services related to OD and heavy packages.
- Prepare logistics finance reports for projects and ensure compliance with HSE policies.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of export/import procedures, customs documentation, and freight logistics.
- Experience coordinating with insurance, finance, and regulatory bodies.
- Attention to detail for auditing shipping documents and permits.
- Ability to maintain accurate logs and generate finance reports.
- Understanding of HSE regulations and risk assessment in logistics operations.
