Logistics Manager

About the role

The Logistics Manager will lead large‑scale import and cross‑border logistics operations across the MEA region, handling more than 100 containers each month. Working closely with local sales teams and key clients, the role focuses on customs clearance, port operations, and inland transportation to deliver cost‑effective bulk logistics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage high‑volume destination port arrivals, customs declarations, clearance, and container trucking to ensure timely turnover of 100+ containers monthly.
• Monitor shipping schedules, yard status, and port dynamics in real‑time; resolve customs inspections and holds to minimise delays.
• Maintain direct relationships with shipping lines and carriers; negotiate demurrage/detention waivers, capacity allocation, and freight rates.
• Optimise inland container routes and fleet arrangements to reduce delays, cargo damage, and refusal risks.
• Provide early logistics support for major sales deals, delivering cost estimations and delivery commitments.
• Develop and manage a regional vendor network of trucking fleets, customs brokers, forwarders, and bonded yards.
• Oversee the bulk logistics budget, identifying cost‑reduction opportunities through vendor negotiation.
• Ensure trade compliance, manage customs risks, and create SOPs and contingency plans for customs holds or shipping line disputes.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on logistics management experience in the MEA region, preferably within in‑house manufacturing logistics.
• Proven track record managing a monthly volume of 100+ containers and full container load (FCL) import/export processes.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with strong negotiation skills.
