Maintenance Technician (Electrical & Mechanical)

About the role

IFF is hiring a Maintenance Technician for its manufacturing site in 6th of October City, Cairo, Egypt. The role ensures the safe, reliable and efficient operation of electrical, mechanical and facility systems so that manufacturing runs without interruption. It covers preventive and corrective maintenance, with full compliance with EHS, GMP and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, and diagnose, troubleshoot and repair failures.
• Oversee the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment to meet operational specifications.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
• Carry out facility maintenance such as HVAC systems, plumbing and general building upkeep.
• Follow EHS, GMP and safety procedures, and escalate safety concerns or equipment damage to the Maintenance or Engineering Manager.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair history and technical documentation.
• Support continuous improvement, project teams with engineering, contractors and vendors, and capital projects.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a maintenance role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical documentation and equipment specifications.
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GMP, safety and EHS standards in a regulated environment.
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
