Managing Consultant – Credit Risk Specialist

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Managing Consultant to serve as a credit risk subject‑matter expert within its Advisors & Consulting Services team. The role involves delivering high‑quality analytical work, shaping risk strategies for global clients, and contributing to the development of the consulting practice.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and analyze client credit risk issues, including analytics, risk policy benchmarks and risk scorecards.
• Generate hypotheses and independently structure work at stream or project level.
• Synthesize analyses into clear, actionable recommendations and develop impactful storylines and presentation slides.
• Propose additional analyses and innovative paradigms to enhance recommendations.
• Participate in recruiting, training and developing junior team members as needed.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with mid‑ to senior‑level client stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in credit risk management and analytics.
• Strong logical and problem‑solving abilities to identify issues across the client’s risk landscape.
• Experience structuring complex projects and delivering concise recommendations.
• Ability to create high‑quality presentations and communicate findings effectively.
• Willingness to support talent acquisition and mentorship activities.
