Operational Risk Officer

About the role

The Operational Risk Officer will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization by identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting operational risks. Working closely with business units and senior management, the officer will help embed a robust risk culture and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess, monitor, and report operational risks across the organization.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Operational Risk Management Framework.
• Conduct Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and evaluate control effectiveness.
• Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and track risk events.
• Develop risk reports and dashboards for management and relevant committees.
• Assist business units in identifying and mitigating operational risks.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in operational risk, risk management, internal control, audit or a similar function.
• Strong analytical, communication and reporting abilities.
• Professional certifications such as ORM, CRMA, CIA, FRM are a plus.
