Material Control Specialist (Oracle User)

About the role
The Material Control Specialist will ensure the timely availability of components and kits for automotive assembly at Kasrawy’s industrial zone. Working closely with production, planning and warehouse teams, you will manage material flow, inventory accuracy and traceability to support new model launches and daily manufacturing schedules.
Key responsibilities
- Translate daily and weekly production plans into material requirements, ensuring CKD/SKD kits and locally sourced components are available for assembly.
- Monitor inbound shipments, prioritize receiving and put-away based on production urgency, and maintain material readiness for model launches and engineering changes.
- Conduct cycle counts, root-cause analysis of variances, and corrective actions to sustain high inventory accuracy.
- Manage stock parameters (min/max, safety stock, reorder points) and reconcile system records with physical inventory.
- Oversee receiving, labeling, storage and system transactions (ERP/WMS), including verification of packing lists, invoices and ASN for CKD/SKD shipments.
- Maintain traceability of lot/batch, serial numbers and VIN-related data, and ensure proper handling of sensitive parts.
- Coordinate kitting, line-side replenishment (Kanban, two-bin, milk-run) and resolve material-related line stoppages.
- Identify potential shortages, drive expediting or substitution actions, and communicate status to production and planning.
- Execute material transactions (GRN, transfers, issues, returns, scrap) and support KPI reporting on stock accuracy, inventory turns and shortage closure.
- Participate in lean initiatives (5S, VSM, supermarket design) and support enhancements to WMS/ERP, barcode/RFID scanning and standard work.
Required profile
Required skills
- Proficiency with Oracle ERP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for receiving, put-away and inventory control.
- Knowledge of barcode and RFID scanning technologies.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools such as 5S and Value Stream Mapping.
- Ability to perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
