Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

About the role

Dar, a member of the Sidara group, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specialized in HVAC to join its multidisciplinary consulting team. You will work on diverse projects ranging from towers and commercial buildings to hospitals and hotels, delivering design solutions from concept through completion.

Key responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems for various project types, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
• Prepare technical design reports, feasibility studies, specifications, and priced bills of quantities.
• Collaborate with architects, electrical, structural engineers and sub‑consultants to integrate mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, attend client meetings, and support value‑engineering workshops.
• Produce mechanical calculations, design drawings, and schematic drawings for chilled water, ventilation, and smoke‑management systems.
• Size mechanical networks, liaise with manufacturers, and support site supervision in resolving technical queries.
• Secure design approvals from statutory authorities and apply BIM workflows using Revit.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5‑8 years of HVAC experience, including at least three years on UAE projects.
• Proven ability to develop technically sound design concepts and ensure compatibility with project scope.
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem‑solving skills.
