Mechanical Engineer – Production Maintenance

About the role

PepsiCo North Africa is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the maintenance of its production line. The role combines hands‑on equipment upkeep with staff training to ensure the annual operation plan is met.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain equipment to achieve required efficiency and safety standards.
• Apply maintenance procedures and lead the technical team on a daily basis.
• Track and analyse maintenance KPIs, producing regular performance reports.
• Troubleshoot control issues, including PLCs and industrial drives.
• Monitor weekly electricity, water and gas consumption.
• Control maintenance expenses and manage spare‑part withdrawals above the MLE threshold.
• Collaborate with the purchasing department on technical matters.
• Review and update spare‑part strategies and ensure proper work‑order completion.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food‑and‑beverage environment.
• Ability to lead and develop a maintenance team.
• Strong analytical skills for KPI and consumption analysis.
• Familiarity with electrical instrumentation and safety protocols.
