Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Heavy Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our Cairo site, responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy construction equipment. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability through diagnostics, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance and repair on heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators and cranes.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues and replace defective parts.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
• Inspect machinery daily and document all maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with site management, suppliers and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and contribute to continuous improvement of equipment performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience working with heavy construction equipment in an industrial or construction environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations applicable to mechanical and site operations.
• Ability to read technical manuals, mechanical drawings and equipment specifications.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and teamwork orientation.
