About the role
The MRP Planner ensures that all materials required for production are available according to the defined inventory policy. You will work closely with procurement, production planning and other stakeholders to keep stock levels optimal and avoid both shortages and excesses.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor projected stock coverage and take proactive actions to prevent over‑stocking or out‑of‑stock situations.
- Provide the Call‑off & Procurement team with accurate delivery schedules for contracted materials.
- Run MRP runs in SAP using defined parameters and generate the necessary purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
- Validate that actual material consumption matches the planned consumption per BOM and production plan, and flag deviations.
- Participate in category task‑force meetings, highlighting constraints that could affect launches and collaborating on corrective actions.
- Track material shelf‑life, coordinate with production, R&D and procurement to avoid write‑offs.
- Identify slow‑moving or stagnant inventory and develop liquidation plans with marketing, finance and sales.
- Analyse over‑stocking/under‑stocking cases, propose root‑cause solutions and implement corrective measures.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in material planning, MRP or related supply‑chain functions.
Required skills
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical and mathematical abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Experience with SAP (especially MRP modules) is a plus.
