Primary Teacher (Key Stage 2) – Academic Year 2026-2027

About the role

GEMS‑BISM is looking for an enthusiastic Primary Teacher to deliver the British Curriculum to Key Stage 2 pupils for the 2026‑2027 academic year. You will create engaging lessons, support student growth, and contribute to a vibrant school community in Cairo.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver KS2 lessons aligned with the British Curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Participate in curriculum development, staff meetings and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child‑protection policies.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and wider school initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• 2‑3 years of experience teaching KS2, preferably within the British Curriculum.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to relocate to Cairo, Egypt.
