Product Introduction Engineer – Cairo

About the role

Alstom is seeking a full‑time Product Introduction (PI) Engineer to join its Cairo team. You will ensure the performance, reliability and safety of rolling stock during the PI period, working closely with engineering, quality, RAMS and EHS teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform commissioning, validation and warranty tasks on rolling stock during the PI phase.
• Lead serial testing and participate in validation and certification tests.
• Diagnose malfunctions, recommend corrective actions and guide technicians in repairs.
• Manage failure‑management data for RAMS exploitation and support technical reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain as‑maintained product configuration and documentation.
• Drive reliability growth through event investigations and reliability forecasts.
• Apply EHS standards on site and facilitate information flow within the PI team.
• Support obsolescence management, field modifications and technical return‑of‑experience reporting.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Engineering or Industrial fields.
• Understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Knowledge of EHS standards and practices.
• Familiarity with technical field environments and internal EHS training certification.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and proactive attitude.
• Good spoken and written English.
