Quality Control Manager – Protein Manufacturing

About the role

The Quality Control Manager for our Protein Manufacturing and Processing site ensures that all products meet the highest quality and regulatory standards. You will lead a dedicated team, drive continuous improvement, and act as the key liaison between production, engineering, and supply‑chain functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain quality control policies, procedures and documentation.
• Monitor production processes to guarantee compliance with ISO, GMP, HACCP and other food‑safety standards.
• Lead the quality control team of inspectors, technicians and analysts.
• Conduct regular inspections, internal audits, product testing and supplier assessments.
• Identify defects, perform root‑cause analysis and drive corrective‑preventive actions (CAPA).
• Analyse quality data, generate management reports and support decision‑making.
• Manage customer complaints from a manufacturing perspective and ensure timely resolution.
• Deliver training programmes to raise quality awareness across the organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, food technology or a related discipline.
• 8‑10 years of experience in quality control/inspection, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of food‑safety regulations and standards (GSO, ISO 22000, BRC, FSSC 22000).
• Proven auditing experience and ability to conduct internal audits.
• Excellent leadership, team‑building and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
