Readymix Plant Manager

About the role

The Readymix Plant Manager will lead the operations of Lafarge's ready‑mix concrete batch plant in Ain Al‑Sokhna. The role ensures the plant meets production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce all health, safety and environmental legislation, Lafarge safety standards and promote a strong safety culture across the workforce.
• Prepare and submit monthly safety performance reports, lead investigations of major incidents and develop corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with the Manufacturing Director on annual budgeting, monitor actual performance against targets and drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Collect data for capital‑expenditure requests and participate in quarterly business reviews to provide operational insights.
• Manage initiatives to maximise plant performance, minimise equipment and truck downtime, and oversee major refurbishments.
• Lead concrete plant erection, removals and major electrical works, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
• Identify and develop personnel with potential for broader safety and operational responsibilities.
• Ensure all employees and contractors receive required training and adhere to standard work instructions (SWI) and plant safety plans (HSIP).

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a ready‑mix or cement plant, with responsibility for production, maintenance and safety.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations applicable to industrial plants.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and control budgets, analyse financial performance and implement cost‑reduction measures.
• Experience leading safety investigations, reporting incidents and developing improvement plans.
• Capability to coordinate large‑scale plant projects, including erection, refurbishment and electrical installations.

Required skills
