Regional Advisor for Operational Partnerships

About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking a Regional Advisor for Operational Partnerships to provide technical advisory services, policy translation, and field support across its country offices in the Middle East, North Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia‑Pacific regions. Based in Cairo, the role will help ensure programme quality, accountability and effective partnership management in both emergency and protracted crisis settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical advisory services on partnership management, assurance systems and capacity strengthening.
• Translate corporate policies and guidance into operational practices for country offices.
• Support the application of WFP policies in diverse operational contexts, including emergencies and long‑term crises.
• Provide field support to country offices across MENAEERO, APARO and other regions as needed.
• Operate with a high degree of independence within a defined technical scope.

Required profile

• Experience working in humanitarian or development settings, especially in emergency and protracted crisis environments.
• Proven ability to provide technical advice and support to multiple country offices.
• Strong understanding of partnership management and assurance mechanisms.
• Capacity to work independently and translate policies into field‑level actions.
