Regional Sales Manager

About the role

The Regional Sales Manager drives sales growth in the assigned region by identifying business opportunities, building strategic partnerships and managing relationships with government and key public sector clients. The role covers pipeline development, tender and bid management and client engagement to meet regional sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Pursue new business with strategic and local partners, build a strong lead pipeline and collect market intelligence on countries, tenders, technology, pricing and competitors.
• Select local partners based on market analysis and educate them and clients on company technology and solutions through presentations, marketing materials and site visits.
• Build relationships with government entities and public sector organisations, monitor tender requests and advise on bid strategy.
• Manage bids and proposals, coordinate with internal teams on pre-sales support and handover of awarded contracts.
• Maintain client engagement, act as liaison between client needs and internal teams and identify upselling opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, contractual, audit and risk requirements, and protect confidential information and intellectual property.
• Maintain accurate CRM data, provide quarterly sales and market reports, and collaborate on trade shows, marketing initiatives and technology enablement.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably with public sector or government clients.
• Strong experience in tender and bid management and public sector engagement.
• Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Experience in technology or enterprise solutions sales preferred.
