Rig Instrumentation Engineer – Installation & Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a Rig Instrumentation Engineer to install, calibrate and maintain instrumentation and control systems on drilling rigs. You will ensure optimal performance, safety and compliance while supporting the drilling and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Install, calibrate and maintain sensors, transmitters and control panels on drilling rigs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to rig instrumentation.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Develop and execute testing procedures to verify system functionality.
• Prepare technical documentation, maintenance logs and calibration records.
• Provide technical support and training to rig personnel.
• Assist in commissioning and de‑commissioning of instrumentation during rig mobilisation and demobilisation.
• Liaise with vendors for procurement, installation and servicing of equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of instrumentation engineering experience in oil & gas or drilling.
• Proven expertise in installation, calibration and maintenance of rig instrumentation.
• Strong troubleshooting ability under pressure.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations and HSE policies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site with extended shifts.
