Senior Accountant

About the role

Fornax World is seeking a Senior Accountant to take full financial control, reporting, and compliance for three distinct entities: a construction fit‑out business, a marketing agency, and an early‑stage technology company. You will audit junior work, run weekly and monthly control cycles, and help design and automate accounting systems across all entities.

Key responsibilities

• Weekly review of project budgets, commitments, and actual costs for Orion – Fit‑Out & Construction, including open purchase orders.
• Audit and approve Junior Accountant entries before finalisation.
• Standardise project names and cost codes; prepare monthly project profitability reports.
• Produce weekly cash‑need and cash‑spending reports and maintain statutory books.
• For Fornax – Marketing Agency: generate monthly client and service‑line profitability, monitor AR aging, enforce collection deadlines, and forecast cash flow.
• For Astra Form – Technology: set up chart of accounts, ensure tax and social‑insurance compliance, and prepare financial position reports for the CFO.
• Lead migration from manual spreadsheets to automated data feeds and support the group ERP rollout (Odoo).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years in an audit office or audit function and 4+ years total accounting experience.
• Project‑based cost accounting experience, preferably in construction or contracting.
• Experience managing accounting across multiple entities is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (structured tables, XLOOKUP, INDEX‑MATCH, Power Query; Power Pivot a plus).
• Purchase order and procurement tracking.
• ERP familiarity; Odoo experience strongly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of Egyptian statutory bookkeeping, tax and social‑insurance compliance.
