Senior Director, Head of Marketing for North Africa, Levant & Pakistan

About the role

The Senior Director – Head of Marketing for the North Africa, Levant & Pakistan (NALP) region will shape and execute Visa’s marketing strategy across a diverse set of markets. Reporting to the SVP, Chief Marketing Officer for Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa, the role has matrixed accountability to the Group Country Manager of NALP and leads a regional marketing team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regional and country‑level marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and prioritisation of investments.
• Develop and implement strategic marketing and communication plans that drive revenue, brand preference, sponsorships, social engagement and client advisory.
• Drive market research and analyse card‑payment trends to inform program development and enhancement.
• Manage country‑level marketing budgets, assess business cases and measure results against KPIs and Visa’s marketing measurement framework.
• Deliver high‑quality creative content, achieve cost synergies and maximise output across physical and digital payment environments.
• Collaborate with internal functions (sales, product, acceptance) and external partners to create value‑added services for issuers and merchants.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in marketing leadership, preferably within payments or financial services.
• Proven ability to lead regional teams and manage multi‑country marketing portfolios.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working across sales, product, and global marketing functions.
• Track record of delivering measurable marketing impact and value‑added services.
