Senior Intellectual Property Specialist

About the role

EVA Pharma, a pharmaceutical company dedicated to improving health and well-being, is looking for a Senior Intellectual Property Specialist to join its team in Giza. The role combines market analysis, regulatory intelligence, patent portfolio support and risk assessment, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze the generic market, including market entry strategies and competitive intelligence
• Provide regulatory intelligence to support decisions and ensure compliance with applicable laws
• Integrate IP considerations into business strategies through collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Advise on R&D initiatives, including patent landscape analysis and potential risks
• Identify, screen and assess IP arising from research activities, and support due diligence and IP research
• Support the patent portfolio: case analysis, preparation, prosecution and post-grant activities
• Assess IP risks and opportunities to strengthen the company's position in global markets

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Chemical Engineering; a postgraduate degree in IP is a plus
• At least 3 years in patent/IP management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and business acumen
• Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, able to work independently or in a team

Required skills

• Knowledge of patent laws, rules and procedures
• General understanding of pharma business practices and IP protection laws
• Familiarity with the types of contracts used in IP transactions
