Senior Logistics Specialist

About the role

As a Senior Logistics Specialist at TAQA Arabia, you will lead the import logistics function, ensuring seamless movement of goods from international suppliers to final destinations. You will coordinate transportation, manage documentation, and work closely with customs and freight partners to maintain efficient supply‑chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full import logistics process, including transportation arrangement, shipment booking, and delivery tracking.
• Prepare and verify all import documentation (packing lists, commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin) for compliance with international trade regulations.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to secure timely shipments and resolve delays.
• Handle accounting and payment matters, monitoring invoices and ensuring timely duty payments.
• Monitor shipment schedules, provide pre‑alerts, and align deliveries with inventory requirements.
• Validate freight forwarder and clearing agent costs against approved rates.
• Oversee the ACID creation process on NAFEZA and ensure all documents meet Egypt’s customs guidelines.
• Coordinate with clearance companies from vessel arrival through customs clearance.
• Verify service provider invoices and ensure prompt payments to avoid shipment delays.
• Support the Global Logistics Team in tendering processes and project implementations.
• Track import‑related costs, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and report performance metrics to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or a related field.
• 2–4 years of proven experience as a Logistics Specialist or in a similar import‑focused role.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
