Senior Purchasing Specialist – Indirect Materials

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Purchasing Specialist to manage end‑to‑end procurement of indirect materials, spare parts, tools, PPE and services for our manufacturing plant in 6th of October, Giza. The role ensures uninterrupted operations by coordinating with local and international suppliers and supporting various internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing, RFQ issuance, quotation analysis, negotiations and purchase order creation for all indirect procurement categories.
• Maintain and update a qualified supplier database, ensuring competitive pricing and service levels.
• Coordinate foreign purchasing activities, including import documentation, shipping, customs clearance and delivery scheduling.
• Collaborate with Warehouse, Finance, Engineering, Maintenance, Production and Administration teams to guarantee timely material availability.
• Monitor supplier performance on delivery, quality and compliance, implementing corrective actions when needed.
• Support localization initiatives by qualifying local suppliers and reducing import dependency.
• Manage contracts and service agreements for maintenance, facility services and construction projects.
• Prepare purchasing reports covering cost savings, supplier performance, procurement status and budget tracking.
• Drive process improvements to reduce lead times and strengthen supplier partnerships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.
• 2–3 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to manage supplier contracts, service and maintenance agreements.
• Strong understanding of import procedures, customs clearance and logistics.
