Senior System Administrator

About the role

The Senior System Administrator ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the organization’s in‑house information systems. The role involves monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing software and operating systems while mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage internal systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Administer Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL Server, SharePoint.
• Maintain virtualization platforms: VMware vSphere, vCenter, and Microsoft virtualization.
• Monitor and respond to system alerts via remote monitoring tools.
• Escalate and resolve support issues related to core business solutions.
• Update agent scripts, review dashboards, and perform periodic system reviews.
• Document system configurations and infrastructure changes.
• Communicate incident progress and planned outages to clients.
• Deploy and troubleshoot Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 environments.
• Administer SAN/NAS storage solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7–10 years of system engineering experience.
• Proven experience designing, developing, and implementing software systems.
• Strong knowledge of systems planning, security principles, and best practices.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in high‑pressure situations and make sound decisions.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, VMware VCA/VCP.
