About the role
Join Portaluna, the first Morgans Originals hotel in Egypt, as a Sous Chef. You will lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring every dish meets the brand’s high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, maintaining food quality and presentation.
- Mentor and train kitchen staff, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
- Assist the Executive Chef with inventory management, ordering, and budgeting.
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes.
- Collaborate on menu and recipe development, testing new dishes and providing feedback.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Monitor quality control, addressing any issues promptly.
- Fill in for the Executive Chef when needed and support administrative tasks.
Required profile
