Technical Office Manager - Civil

About the role

The Technical Office Manager – Civil will lead the technical office team to ensure that design reviews, shop drawings, quantity surveying and material management processes meet all project standards, codes and specifications. This role works closely with the Site Manager, Project Control Manager and consultants to deliver accurate documentation and resolve technical issues on time.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the technical office staff and oversee all activities related to design reviews, shop drawing production, and material submittals.
• Coordinate with consultants to review project designs, highlight deviations, and obtain approvals for shop drawings and material submissions.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement and subcontractors to resolve technical problems and ensure smooth workflow.
• Manage the quantity surveying team for bill of quantities, payment approvals and change orders.
• Control material management processes, including submittal approvals, storage and distribution.
• Distribute updated and approved project documents to all relevant parties.
• Review and approve RFIs, subcontractor invoices, and monthly owner invoices.
• Support planning, cost control and contract administration with technical and cost data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in technical office management within construction projects.
• Strong command of English.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD.
