Technical Office Manager

About the role

The Technical Office Manager leads the technical office team to ensure accurate and timely production of shop drawings, material submittals, and as‑built documentation for large‑scale construction projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role coordinates closely with procurement, site, and design teams to maintain project standards and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with procurement, subcontractors, and suppliers following site manager arrangements.
• Oversee the technical office team, delegating tasks and monitoring performance.
• Review project designs with consultants, prepare shop drawings, and highlight code deviations.
• Manage shop drawing and design offices to secure consultant approvals promptly.
• Track approvals for shop drawings and material submittals, and follow up with consultants.
• Review as‑built drawings, manuals, and client invoices.
• Collaborate with site manager and project control manager to set work procedures, priorities, and resource allocation.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, resolve conflicts, and ensure quality improvements.
• Lead the quantity surveying team for BOQ issuance, payment approvals, and change orders.
• Support HR in monitoring indirect labor costs against budget.
• Facilitate value engineering, design changes, and communication across departments.
• Document technical lessons learned and ensure compliance with contracts and project schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in construction technical office management, preferably on hotel or resort projects.
• Strong managerial, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
