About the role
We are looking for a courteous and efficient Telephone Operator to join our hotel team. In this role you will be the first point of contact for guests calling the property, ensuring smooth communication and a pleasant experience.
Key responsibilities
- Operate the telephone exchange, answer incoming calls and connect them to the appropriate extensions.
- Take and forward messages, handle long‑distance and overseas calls, compute and record charges, and forward them to the Front Office Cashier.
- Screen calls on request, page parties through the paging system, and update the room rack in the exchange.
- Provide wake‑up calls, directory assistance and general information to guests.
- Manage emergency communications for the hotel.
- Maintain cleanliness and order of the work area and perform any additional duties as assigned.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and problem‑solving mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
Required skills
- Telephone exchange operation.
