Tender and QS Engineer (Fit-out)

About the role

The Tender and QS Engineer will lead the preparation and management of bids for fit‑out projects, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with client specifications. Working closely with design and project teams, you will drive value‑engineering initiatives and support contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit competitive tenders for fit‑out projects, adhering to client requirements.
• Analyse specifications, drawings, and related documents to determine costs and resource needs.
• Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates and budgets during the tendering phase.
• Collaborate with design teams to identify value‑engineering opportunities that reduce costs without compromising quality.
• Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts to secure favourable terms.
• Monitor project costs and budgets during construction, providing regular reports to managers and stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing interim and final account submissions, including variations and claims.
• Conduct site visits to validate progress, quantities, and support progress billing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Tender Engineer, preferably in the fit‑out sector.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, tendering methods, and contract management.
• Knowledge of relevant construction regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• High attention to detail and focus on accurate cost management.
