VMware and Cloud Solution Architect

About the role

Capgemini is seeking a seasoned VMware and Cloud Solution Architect to design, implement, and manage enterprise‑grade virtualization and cloud infrastructures. The role will focus on VMware technologies and hybrid/multi‑cloud environments, helping clients accelerate digital transformation while ensuring secure, scalable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy VMware‑based solutions (vSphere, vSAN, NSX, SRM, Replication, Usage Meter, NSX‑T).
• Architect hybrid and multi‑cloud environments across Azure, AWS, and VMware Cloud.
• Create high‑level and detailed architecture designs for cloud and virtualization projects.
• Lead workload migrations from on‑premises to cloud or between cloud platforms.
• Integrate storage, networking, and security components, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Implement security best practices and develop disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Automate provisioning and operations using vRealize Suite, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Collaborate with architecture teams, application owners, and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands‑on experience in virtualization and cloud architecture.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP).
• Preferred AWS or Azure Architect certifications.
