Director of Human Resources – Egypt

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead HR services for its Egypt Country Office. As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will ensure HR compliance, support program implementation, and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the office.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective HR services across humanitarian and development programmes, ensuring alignment with SCI global standards and national laws.
• Support the Country Director in workforce planning, rightsizing, and organizational design.
• Maintain and improve relationships with government authorities and external partners.
• Oversee staff wellbeing initiatives, including mental health and psychosocial support.
• Manage the HR manual, policies, and procedures, providing guidance to managers and staff.
• Ensure HR systems can scale rapidly for emergency staffing and humanitarian response.

Required profile

• Proven senior HR leadership experience in international or humanitarian settings.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian labour law and HR best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior management and external stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Legal right to work in Egypt for the contract duration.
