Lead Architect

About the role

Sabbour Consulting is seeking a Lead Architect to head its architectural department. The role involves steering design, planning and delivery of large‑scale projects while ensuring compliance with client requirements, local codes and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the architectural team, including senior architects, designers and junior staff.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, mentor members and promote professional development.
• Oversee preparation, review and approval of architectural designs, drawings and specifications.
• Ensure designs meet project requirements, local regulations and international standards.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals and technical documents.
• Resolve design conflicts and provide guidance on complex architectural issues.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP and civil disciplines for integrated project solutions.
• Communicate with clients, consultants and contractors to address design queries.
• Support on‑site implementation of design concepts.
• Implement quality control procedures and promote sustainable, innovative design solutions.
• Develop project schedules, monitor progress and prepare performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 18 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
• At least 5 years in a managerial role overseeing architectural teams.
• Experience with large‑scale residential, commercial or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes and international design standards.
• Excellent leadership, coordination and communication abilities.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Experience with 3D modeling and related design software.
