Lecturer/Associate Professor in Manufacturing Engineering

About the role

The German University in Cairo seeks a highly qualified academic to join the Department of Design and Production. The position is full‑time and can be appointed at the rank of Lecturer or Associate Professor, depending on the candidate’s experience.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in manufacturing and mechanical engineering.
• Supervise student projects, theses, and research activities.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish in reputable international journals.
• Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement of teaching materials.
• Engage in departmental and university service, including industry partnership development.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong teaching record at undergraduate and/or graduate level.
• Demonstrated research track record with peer‑reviewed publications.
• Experience in securing or participating in funded research projects is an asset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
