About the role

Drive Modupay's growth across Africa and beyond by identifying, nurturing and managing strategic partnerships and new business opportunities. You will work closely with the Partnerships & Business Development Director to align market research, pre‑sales support and product strategy across the full Modupay suite.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct in‑depth market analysis using CRM systems, industry reports and data analytics tools to identify emerging fintech, card issuance and payment processing opportunities.
  • Develop data‑driven market entry and expansion strategies and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Strengthen existing partner relationships through regular communication, performance reviews and joint initiatives.
  • Track partnership KPIs, pipeline milestones and revenue contribution, reporting to stakeholders.
  • Participate in pre‑sales activities, including discovery calls, solution demonstrations, RFP/RFI responses and commercial Q&A sessions.
  • Draft proposals, pitch decks and partnership agreements in collaboration with technical, legal, compliance and finance teams.
  • Support go‑to‑market activities for new product launches such as BNPL and virtual card programs.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in partnerships, business development or sales within the fintech or payments sector.
  • Strong market research and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent relationship‑building and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Ability to translate product capabilities into tailored value propositions for partners.
  • Comfort working cross‑functionally with product, technical and compliance teams.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with CRM systems.
  • Experience using data analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of card issuance, payment processing and payment orchestration platforms.
