Procurement, Contracts & Materials Manager

About the role

Amtar Engineering Solutions is seeking a Procurement, Contracts & Materials Manager for its Alexandria office. You will lead the end‑to‑end procurement process, ensuring technical requirements are met, suppliers are qualified, and contracts are executed efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full procurement cycle: review requirements, define sourcing strategy, pre‑qualify suppliers, issue RFQs, compare bids, negotiate and award contracts.
• Prepare and review purchase orders, supply and service agreements, sub‑contracts, scopes, commercial schedules and related correspondence.
• Coordinate technical and commercial evaluations with engineering, tendering, quantity‑surveying and project teams.
• Inspect samples, conduct factory visits, verify compliance before approval or shipment.
• Maintain supplier performance records covering quality, price, responsiveness, lead time and documentation.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties, delivery conditions and other commercial protections.
• Monitor procurement schedules, contractual obligations, variations, claims exposure and document close‑out.
• Identify alternative sources and materials without compromising technical specifications.
• Prepare procurement reports, contract registers, savings records, risk logs and management updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in procurement, contracts, construction materials, supply‑chain or commercial management.
• Proven experience preparing and negotiating supply or subcontract agreements.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, documentation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Professional fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Current residence in Alexandria and ability to work full‑time on‑site.
• Willingness to travel locally or internationally as required.
• Experience on Saudi or GCC projects is strongly preferred.
