Rolling Stock Technician

About the role

The Rolling Stock Technician ensures the availability, reliability, and safety of trains and depot equipment through high‑standard maintenance activities. The role involves accurate fault diagnostics, timely repairs, and strict adherence to technical and safety standards while supporting documentation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate fault diagnosis on trains and depot systems using technical manuals and diagnostic tools.
• Conduct functional tests, verifications, and system resets after repairs to validate performance.
• Execute scheduled and corrective maintenance tasks, including component replacement and reassembly, within allocated timeframes.
• Maintain complete traceability of all tasks with digital and physical records and report via Maximo.
• Monitor tools, spare parts, and consumables, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Strictly follow occupational safety protocols such as lockout/tagout (LOTO) and PPE usage, and report unsafe conditions.
• Share knowledge, coach junior technicians, and coordinate with supervisors to ensure smooth maintenance execution.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance or a related technical field.
• Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written); English proficiency is a plus.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in industrial or rail‑related maintenance.
• Strong foundation in electricity, mechanics, pneumatics, and electronics.
• Familiarity with diagnostic procedures, technical schematics, and safety/quality standards.
