Senior Facilities Engineer – Plant Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Facilities Engineer to lead the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of our plant’s utility systems in Nasr City, Cairo. The role ensures reliable, safe and efficient performance of chillers, compressors, HVAC, hydraulic and other mechanical equipment supporting production.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all facility equipment including chillers, compressors, HVAC systems and utilities.
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot chillers, AHU, FCU, compressors, dryers, filters and compressed air networks.
• Maintain pumps, hydraulic power units, valves and piping systems, diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic faults.
• Analyze MTTR, MTBF and downtime data to drive reliability improvements.
• Supervise technicians and junior engineers, providing technical training.
• Coordinate with external contractors, ensuring work quality and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain accurate maintenance records and performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities or utilities maintenance within an industrial environment.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of chillers, compressors and HVAC systems.
• Experience with hydraulic and mechanical systems, pumps and piping.
• Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic and P&ID drawings.
