About the role
The Senior Taxation Specialist will manage complex tax matters for Nawy Real Estate, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations while supporting tax planning initiatives. The role involves detailed research, preparation of tax returns and advising management on strategies to optimise the company’s tax position.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, review and file federal, state and local tax returns accurately and on time.
- Conduct in‑depth tax research to stay updated on changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the organisation.
- Assist in developing tax strategies to minimise liabilities and improve financial efficiency.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting.
- Respond to tax authority inquiries and support the company during tax audits.
- Maintain comprehensive tax documentation and records.
- Provide guidance and training to junior tax staff as needed.
- Support the Senior Taxation Manager on various tax projects and initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 3‑5 years of experience in tax accounting or tax compliance roles.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations and accounting principles affecting the real estate industry.
- Excellent analytical and research skills.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organisational and communication abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with tax software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
