Technical Engineering Manager – Building Construction

About the role

The Technical Engineering Manager will lead the technical execution of building construction projects, ensuring all deliverables meet contractual, regulatory, and client expectations. This senior position coordinates multidisciplinary teams, reviews designs, resolves technical issues, and serves as the primary technical liaison among contractors, consultants, subcontractors, and the client.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all technical aspects of projects in line with contract documents, specifications, and approved designs.
• Review, coordinate, and submit technical submissions such as BIM models, shop‑drawings, structural calculations, method statements, and detailed rebar drawings.
• Ensure consistency, integration, and constructability across architectural, structural, and MEP designs.
• Identify, assess, and resolve technical clashes, discrepancies, and risks promptly and cost‑effectively.
• Act as the main technical point of contact for the project team and maintain compliance with codes, standards, and authority approvals.
• Support project planning with technical input on sequencing, construction methods, and risk mitigation.
• Oversee technical quality assurance, commissioning, testing, and hand‑over activities.
• Mentor technical team members and maintain accurate technical records and correspondence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in architectural, structural, and MEP coordination within construction projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams and manage complex technical documentation.
