Assistant Professor of Finance (Teaching-focused)

About the role

The College of Business at Louisiana State University of Alexandria seeks a full‑time, nine‑month Assistant Professor of Finance. The position is teaching‑focused, offering a 12‑credit‑hour load each semester and encouraging optional summer instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Teach 12 credit hours per semester in Finance, Economics, Accounting, and related business subjects.
• Develop and deliver student‑centered instruction across face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online formats.
• Participate in curriculum planning, program review, and creation of applied learning opportunities such as internships and case competitions.
• Maintain an active scholarship program aligned with ACBSP expectations.
• Support ACBSP accreditation through assessment, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Assist with student recruitment, retention, outreach, and alumni engagement.
• Contribute to career development programs and regional business‑community partnerships.
• Facilitate workshops with Continuing Education, the Small Business Development Center, and other stakeholders.
