Board Member – Financial Services (Egypt)

About the role

The Board Member will join the Board of an international financial services group operating in Egypt, providing strategic direction, governance oversight and independent judgement. This non‑executive position contributes to discussions on financial performance, digital transformation, sustainable growth and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Participate actively in Board and committee meetings and influence strategic decision‑making.
• Oversee financial performance, business strategy, compliance and risk management.
• Support senior management in evaluating growth opportunities, operational improvements and digital initiatives.
• Monitor the effectiveness of internal controls, governance frameworks and regulatory compliance.
• Promote accountability, ethical conduct and transparency across the organisation.
• Contribute to the long‑term sustainability and strategic development of the Company.

Required profile

• Significant senior leadership experience in banking, financial services, consumer finance, lending or related sectors.
• Strong knowledge of the Egyptian financial services market, including its regulatory and commercial environment.
• Solid understanding of corporate governance principles and the role of a Non‑Executive Director.
• Previous Board experience or senior executive exposure to governance responsibilities is advantageous.
