Head of Finance

About the role

The Finance Section Head leads the day‑to‑day accounting, treasury and financial reporting functions, ensuring accurate records, compliance with standards and timely delivery of financial information to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting, treasury and reporting operations for the finance section.
• Ensure timely closing of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards and company policy.
• Monitor cash flow, banking relationships and working capital to maintain liquidity.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations and financial reports prepared by the team.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities and banks to meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Support the Finance Manager in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard assets and data integrity.
• Develop, mentor and evaluate the finance team, driving continuous process improvement.
• Identify, assess and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Promote health, safety, quality and environmental (HSE) compliance across the finance function.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably in steel fabrication or manufacturing.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification (CMA, ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Oracle ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
