SME Business Center Head

About the role

The SME Business Center Head will lead a team of SME officers in Gharbia, managing and expanding a portfolio of small‑to‑medium enterprise clients. The role combines client relationship management, business development and team leadership to drive growth and high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and mentor a team of SME officers to achieve business objectives.
• Set clear performance targets and ensure consistent achievement.
• Provide training, coaching and guidance to improve team productivity.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of SME customers, ensuring high client satisfaction and retention.
• Build strong relationships with decision‑makers in client organisations.
• Handle escalated client concerns and ensure timely resolution.
• Identify and execute cross‑selling and upselling opportunities across financial products.
• Develop and implement client acquisition strategies to expand the SME portfolio.
• Ensure team compliance with customer service standards, policies and procedures.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal departments to deliver seamless customer service.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking with a focus on SME banking.
• Proven team leadership and people‑management experience.
• Successful completion of a credit course (mandatory).
• Strong leadership, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Demonstrated success in portfolio growth and client relationship management.
• Ability to motivate and guide a team toward ambitious targets.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
