Chief Accountant – Lead Accounting Team

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Chief Accountant to lead our accounting team and manage daily accounting operations. The role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records in line with international accounting standards and drives efficiency across the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the accounting team, assigning daily tasks and reviewing journal entries (sales, purchases, expenses, payroll).
• Oversee cash collections, bank deposits, and ensure timely transfers to AlAhli or Alinma Bank.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles, prepare trial balances and financial reports.
• Coordinate periodic inventory counts with warehouse managers and approve reconciliation adjustments.
• Monitor production costs and update cost allocations regularly.
• Prepare and file VAT and Zakat returns, ensuring zero late penalties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; SOCPA or CPA certification preferred.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior supervisory role.
• Proven experience in retail operations with multiple branches and warehouses.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and tax regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Odoo ERP.
• Expertise in applying IFRS accounting principles.
