OpenShift Consultant

About the role

The OpenShift Consultant will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining OpenShift environments across development, staging, and production. The role involves evaluating emerging technologies, ensuring platform stability, and supporting operational teams on‑call.

Key responsibilities

• Estimate, plan, install, patch, and upgrade OpenShift clusters (4.x) and related infrastructure.
• Monitor cluster health, troubleshoot issues, and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Configure ingress controllers, SSL certificates, load balancers, storage solutions, and container registries.
• Integrate OpenShift with identity management, vault services, and IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I).
• Maintain monitoring stacks such as Prometheus and Grafana, and logging solutions like the EFK stack.
• Support lab environments for technical assessments, SDN/NFV POCs, and on‑call ticket handling.
• Ensure SLA compliance, follow ITIL processes, and document operational procedures.

Required profile

• Strong background in OpenStack, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift administration.
• Solid Linux/Unix administration experience, preferably RHEL.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Nexus, JFROG, SonarQube).
• Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Integration and OpenShift Data Foundation.
• Knowledge of container storage options (NFS, S3, Ceph, PortWorx) and container runtimes (Docker).
• Ability to write shell scripts and develop APIs (REST, XML).
• Understanding of ITIL processes and SLA management.
